McCain warns of constant threat of terrorism from extremists
By Philip Elliott, Associated Press Writer | July 25, 2007

MANCHESTER, N.H. --Presidential hopeful John McCain said on Wednesday the United States will face the threat of terrorism for the rest of this century, warning against perverted forms of Islam that inspire hatred and fear. snip

"When we lost the war in Vietnam, it was over," McCain said. He said this time the enemy will follow U.S. troops to the United States.

"This was not before -- but it is now -- part of the struggle against the forces of radical extremism," McCain said.

He said withdrawing troops from Iraq would be a terrible mistake. He called Senate Democrats' all-night session over setting a withdrawal date a "really outrageous publicity stunt."

3. No, like the South Vietnamese
Even though he doesn't realize it, he's talking about the current Iraqi government.

4. We cannot leave Iraq until all the Iraqis who are upset with our
presence there have been subdued/killed/maimed/incarcerated/made to think correctly.

7. If they wanted to come here they can do it any time they want. The war does not prevent that.
Edited on Wed Jul-25-07 05:52 PM by Sapere aude
That scare tactic is so trite by now. Why would they come here after we leave when they can come here now?

Just maybe if we leave they will not feel as threatened and stay there.

12. Which enemy?
There's more than one fraction fighting in Iraq. You can't take his statement serious if he refuses to discus the situation in the country on realistic terms.

17. Naw. Eltee McCain hurt his head going through that A-4 canopy.
When he punched-out over "Downtown" (Hanoi). I've always maintained that.

18. Poor Johnny. Now It's Just Sad.
Doesn't someone have a nice farm somewhere he could live on? He could spend his last days chasing rabbits and lying in the sun. He was a good boy, but his time has passed.

19. McLame's brain is losing grey cells faster than his head is
losing hair. If he was half way smart he would quit his losing campaign and retire from the Senate. Obviously, he is getting dumber than the creep that he was hugging and sucking up to when he so mistakenly thought that this would garner the Bush Crime Family support for the Pres. job.

Somebody, give McCain the link to download Google Earth. It will be a real eye popper for the old coot.
