I finally got to watch "An Inconvenient Truth" this afternoon.

Well done, sir. We were truly ill-served by the Republics who chose to steal power in 2000. I truly believe this would be a very different world today if 2000 hadn't been stolen.

I wept through the whole film. Tears of frustration and sorrow that we as a nation can't seem to find the will to lead the world with decency and in peace. That we can't seem to get it together to be good stewards of the earth or our nation.

Mr. Gore, you may have been cheated out of a national office, but you now stand astride the oceans like a colossus and speak to the global community. You didn't squander your inheritance for a bowl of pottage.

Thank you for loving this land and this earth with such dedication and humility that you are willing to soldier on without the trappings of office. Thank you for leading by example. Thank you for the gift of hope you have given to us in this life lesson you are teaching, because our young people will be the ones to hear it and turn it into new technologies and actions. I pledge to help you teach it as I do my best to live by example as well.

Well done, indeed.
