Suffice it to say that I'd rather gnaw off my own foot than receive an ounce of his odious "comfort."

4. LOL! Brilliant image.
Somehow I doubt that he will receive anything like a warm welcome from the people of Minneapolis.

8. What's the Minneapolis equivalent of Jackson Square?
Nicollet Mall, maybe? (I've never been...) 'Cause if past history (New Orleans/Katrina) is any indication, that's where he'll go, carefully avoiding any interaction with actual rubble 'n' stuff. :grr:

12. Bill and Hillary were in a parade in IA over the 4th of July
Mason City, I think, and the crowds roared applause for them as they walked the parade route shaking hands.

Bush's trip to MN may unravel/unnerve him completely, considering the ill will people will have for him and his policies, and their results.

11. NOOOOOOO!!!!
I'm live in Minneapolis, and am going to Boston on Saturday. Please tell me I don't have to get to the airport by 5 am for a 1 pm flight. BASTARD!!! Oh well, glad I won't be here (hopefully) while he stinks up my beloved city. We are still so shocked and the scene here is so surreal and eerie, everyone.

22. It will all be scripted
There won't be any protests. Rove is scripting the whole thing now. After all it is a photo-op and 'comfort the needy' moment that are planned in minute detail. There will be the 3 or 4 Minnesotans who love him at his side crying on his shoulders, a tear or 2 will trickle down his cheek as he looks directly into the camera, and he will wear one of his blue 'I'm going to solve this problem' shirts on with the sleeves rolled up. And then he will wing off to Crawford for his month's August vacation. Probably will veto some transportation spending bills, too, while he's on AF1. It's all so predictable.

24. The Star Tribune had an article this morning stating
that the war criminal was planning to head to Mpls for a fundraising for Norm Coleman this weekend. Well I am assuming the fundraising is now off along with the groundbreaking for the new stadium (which should have been today). The rich were planning quite a feast this weekend but their neglect of social needs has caught up with them. Fugg Bush and Coleman.

There was another article saying that Dems were raising way more money than Coleman.

25. Why?
Edited on Thu Aug-02-07 05:11 PM by peaches2003
Why would Bush and the Repugs cancel a fundraiser for Coleman? He'll blame the whole thing on Clinton letting the infrastructure collapse and use it for political purposes anyway. The fundraiser would have been private just for the fat cats, so why shouldn't Bush go? He has no conscience.

why...why...I'm sure all the victims and their families would WANT them to bravely carry on."

I hope they can get finished constructing his rubble pile in time.

35. Just one question - sleeves up or down?
It's a toughie, given that I'm SURE he's not going to let the Smarmy Norm fundraiser get by without his Annoited Presence, and such events usually require some sort of formal dress . . .
