Security tightens up at all U.S ports
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=270711

U.S President George Bush has signed legislation implementing key counter terrorism recommendations that emerged from the independent probe into the September 11, 2001 attacks.
snip...
The bill's other provisions include 100 percent screening of maritime cargo before it is loaded onto U.S bound ships in foreign ports, greater distribution of homeland security grants for states and high-risk urban areas and stronger measures for people from select countries who visit the U.S without a visa.

On the passing of the bill, Senate Majority leader Harry Reid said: "This bill is long overdue. With our intelligence experts saying Al-Qaeda is at its strongest since 9/11, there is no time to waste."

this really gives me a sense of impending disaster coming

2. Except we have a F'ing insurance company running them instead of the best port operators in the
world. You know cause they were Arabs, and we can't have that.

3. I'd like to see how they are going to implement 100% screening.
And how they're going to allow into the US 0% of cargo that hasn't been screened without bringing the economy to a screaming halt. And believe me, there would be screaming indeed.
