"I don't know," said Hillary. "Ask Al Gore."
This was her answer when questioned if she would revoke the 1996 Telecommunications Act of her husband's administration if elected. Unbelieveably snarky.

I guess she just wanted to get the Gore dig in there somewhere, implying that it was more a of a Gore deal than a Clinton deal...

"I was there, and Clinton was very

impressive in the breakout session before the debate. I'm an active Obama supporter who managed to see both the Clinton and Obama breakouts.

While I will do everything I can to see that Obama is our nominee, I find all of the Hillary-bashing very disappointing.

Your characterization of her answers to your questions is unfair and reflects the bias you went into the room with.

For example, on the Telecommunications Act she candidly admitted that it was not something she was well-versed on and that she would look into it more. She did refer to the fact that Al Gore was actively involved in shaping the bill on behalf of the administration.

But in any case, I think all of the Hillary-bashing is undeserved and unproductive. She has worked all her life to make this a better country and world and deserves more credit and respect."

It amazes me how quick people(in this thread) judge before knowing the facts.

Really sad and pathetic

7. What does Al Gore have to do with it? Is she implying that Al Gore was the guy
behind it? Well, her husband is the one who signed it into law.

15. Wow. Bitchy AND non-responsive. How nice.
Sure does lend credence to the theory that she is an establishment toady.

Completely non-responsive. Bitchy. AND, she gives life to an issue that CLEARLY she doesn't want to discuss. Now, she will certainly have to discuss this daily for the next few weeks. So....smart, too?

She's a smart lady, but not an impressive showing here. Why not have an opinion on this very important issue Hillary? It wouldn't have anything at all to do with those un-influential lobbyist contributions now, would it?

16. Expertise?
I thought her experience and expertise were her main selling points. Clinton doesn't seem to have any expertise in telecom if that's the only comment she can come up with.

17. That answer made me think all the chatter about them not being best buds is probably true.

The NYT article about her initiating the spat with Obama also gave me a bit of a What The ... feeling.

"The relationship began to change, according to several Democrats who are friendly to both senators, when Mr. Obama began musing aloud about a presidential bid. The day he opened his exploratory committee, several Senate observers said, he extended his hand and said hello on the Senate floor. She breezed by him, offering a cool stare.

-snip-
Many Senate observers, even those close to Mrs. Clinton, say they believe she set the less-than-collegial tone. "

I have been warming to Hillary a bit but the attitude, IMO, frankly sucks. Oh, well, not that important in the broad scope of things.
