I'm convinced...IMPEACHMENT NOW!!!
This Democratic congress has proven their willingness to challenge the WH on it's attempts to undermine our Constitution.

This Democratic congress has shown it's committment to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC.

This Democratic congress is fed up with the illegal, immoral, unconstitutional usurpation of powers by the WH and will stop at nothing to end it.

I'm absolutely convinced that this Democratic congress will do the right thing. Aren't you?

Can't think why.

11. They MAY do something if and when they realize
that Bushco has put all the pieces in place to either nullify their re-elections or steal the elections. THey only care about their jobs, and their power. When they are adequately worried, they will do something.

I like to hope that the dems cave-in on FISA-AG was because they were blackmailed. Bushit wouldn't let them leave until it was signed, and told them behind doors that DC will go boom.

10. it's a pipe dream, and the anti-impeachers were right.
if we can't even muster up enough votes to shoot down this FISA travesty, which was a real bill with an actual vote, how in the world according to Garp can anyone defend the proposition that impeachment fantasy will fare any better?

16. We had the votes
they caved at the last possible minute... sorry I followed this over the weekend.

And you know what? I will NOT support this democratic party. I will support progressive democrats, if they exist, but not this leadership

I am done with them, have been for a while, but they keep confirming why I cannot support the leadership in good conscience

18. LSK, you know I think the world of you, but what the hell?
if you have any hope at all that a majority of House Democrats, much less 17 puke Senators, will vote to impeach, then i simply have no response to that.

first the MCA, now FISA, and all of a sudden we're going to vote to impeach?

20. thats my point
Edited on Mon Aug-06-07 03:07 PM by LSK
Theres not enough votes to move the process forward and Conyers and Pelosi know it.

Is it better for Impeachment to die in a Committee today or wait and just maybe enough Dems can be convinced to allow it to move. Dont ask me when that point will be thou.

Im not talking about my personal need or want for this to happen but I'm talking about the practical specifics of how it would happen and why it is not happening today.

25. the only way "people" will support
impeachment, and apply that support to congress critters to get them to vote is if bush/cheney were caught abusing kittens or puppies
