I'm so tired of opinion
I visit all the great sites daily...this one, daily kos, huffington, dependable renegade, eschaton, certainly froomkin, even talking points memo makes no difference. Nothing changes. Nothing. It's all a shouting war. No matter how much lunacy is pointed out, nothing changes. I remain in prayer.

1. Hey, you go to opinion sites, you get opinon.
You go to Coast To Coast, you get supernatural. You go to NOAA, you get weather. You go to EBay you get auctions of junk. Etc., etc.

Nothing changes? Things have (like the last election). Just not as fast as we would like.

2. You nailed it, boomboom...
Just as I am, without one plea,
but that thy blood was shed for me,
and that thou bidst me come to thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, and waiting not
to rid my soul of one dark blot,
to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, though tossed about
with many a conflict, many a doubt,
fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
sight, riches, healing of the mind,
yea, all I need in thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, thou wilt receive,
wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
because thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, thy love unknown
hath broken every barrier down;
now, to be thine, yea thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

12. I once was found, but I now am lost...
As a total agnostic, I have come to believe and respect the impact that hymns have on the Believers.

And I love the Hymns and I love the Believers.

I grew up Southern Baptist.

And I love to play that song.

I play it in Open G, with the 5th string being the drone.

4. Where do we go to get news. I'm tired of opinion. I want real news.

Surely there are things happening elsewhere in the world, things that are not caused by the U. S. or that don't directly affect the U. S.

Maybe some elections? Maybe societal changes? Maybe, maybe, maybe.....

Guess not, because they're not mentioned on the "news" channels or in my "news" paper or in my "news" magazine.

I remember the good old days, when CNN was a "news" station. Sigh.

7. yeah, apparently everything is driven by politics
who cares what real Americans feel? I've been such a political nut since for the last 4 years. But I'm discouraged. The people we elected for change are more concerned about their next term than this one. Too many games, too much empty opinions from talking heads for monetary gain. We're doomed, aren't we? Global politics are way out of our control, especially with the current leaders, what's the use? I guess I'm feeling rather fatalistic..........sorry about that

5. one significant change is that what we are screaming about
is starting to be common fodder in local news (print and tv) - which means that many more folks are starting to "hear" the stories we have been outraged over for the last four or more years. I think that is important. Or at least I hope it is.

8. that's a good point, but I only watch msnbc...occassionally cnn.
is it really main stream news now? I hope so. Certainly the polls reflect it. But as we know, polls don't matter to Dear Leader and Evil Minion.

9. I don't watch cable so much as I read headlines and news
from papers across the country (and in that sweep for news often also see what is 'posted' from CNN and other cable news outlets. The number of stories on the mainteram news coming out - compared to even just two years ago - is amazing. There are still rw smears and efforts to dismiss these stories - but these stories were not even being covered a few years ago. Definite shift.

13. That's your problem right there!

"I only watch msnbc...occasionally cnn"

You have to branch out from the MSM!!! Out of the box!
They just repeat the same crap over and over... you have to go
out of the country to get the news these days.

Spread your wings and fly to a new news source or two or three or four!!

10. Prayer and $1.00 will get you a cup of coffee.
Tired of reading other people's opinions and feeling like nothing changes? Get out and do something. Write to your congresspeople, write letters to your newspaper, demonstrate, march, sit-in, whatever. Things are changing. Help the process along.
