So what should we expect now that the Democrats have caved into the Bush Crime Family's demands for limitless access to our private telephone conversations, email, and who knows what else?

According to the New York Times, "Congressional aides and others familiar with the details of the law said that its impact went far beyond the small fixes that administration officials had said were needed to gather information about foreign terrorists. They said seemingly subtle changes in legislative language would sharply alter the legal limits on the government’s ability to monitor millions of phone calls and e-mail messages going in and out of the United States.

They also said that the new law for the first time provided a legal framework for much of the surveillance without warrants that was being conducted in secret by the National Security Agency and outside the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, the 1978 law that is supposed to regulate the way the government can listen to the private communications of American citizens.

By changing the legal definition of what is considered “electronic surveillance,” the new law allows the government to eavesdrop on those conversations without warrants — latching on togiant switches — as long as the target of the government’s surveillance is “reasonably believed” to be overseas.

For example, if a person in Indianapolis calls someone in London, the National Security Agency can eavesdrop on that conversation without a warrant, as long as the N.S.A.’s target is the person in London."

Literally EVERY TIME I go into the kitchen they're bugging me for food. Milo's the worst, he just hangs out by the food bowls and squeaks whenever he sees me.

Sebastian makes me feel really rotten with the way he begs and pleads.

When we took him to the vet he weighed 13 1/2 pounds.

I can tell when he decides to step on my boob when he's trying to get up next to me in bed.

I think Screech has OCD because he has a whole ritual, first he kneads the bed, then he walks around in a circle a couple of times, then he kneads some more and finally lays down. If I touch him at any point during the ritual, he starts right over from the beginning.

omg, it weighs 53 lbs and it's absolutely gorgeous. I'll have pix soon of simon on the top step. I was so surprised and thrilled to get it yesterday!

My friend ordered the Paw Palace. She thanks me every day, it's so well made. She has 4 cats and they each have a perch. they don't go outside and this is excellent exercise.

I wish I knew about the site when Willie was still with us. After a while, he couldn't sleep in bed with us because he had a hard time getting up and down. :(

I'm trying to upload my new pics now but it's soooooo slow. I didn't exactly need such a large steps, but hey what can I say. I'm just so grateful. I put the new one in the cats' room so they could jump up on their other high condo. I think I'm going to have to rent a barn just for my cat furniture. :-)

and if you don't want the paw prints, you don't have to have them. YOu can pretty much get whatever you want and they will make it for you!!!

what's nice is that the levels are set back so that the kitties can jump better from level to level and not straight up. I hate that.

We are GOING TO BE capturing them next week. I have to get it done!
