My county's clerk calls SecState's decertification of electronic voting machines 'draconian'

I think I'll work against his re-election next year. Assbucket.

Hollister - Local officials are worried a recent decision forbidding the use of most electronic voting machines could be costly for the county and inconvenient for voters.

"California county elections registrars are unanimous in our opposition to the draconian action taken by the secretary of state," County Clerk Joe Paul Gonzalez said in a letter to the Board of Supervisors.

Citing security risks, Secretary of State Debra Bowen recently decertified many of the state's electronic voting machines, including the Seqouia systems used by San Benito County.

2. where i vote in district 3 we have never used the machines, at least at my polling place

we've had fill in the bubble and punch card and both have worked fine as far as i know.

they have spent 12 mil on their two batches of machines, and couldn't count the vots for weeks last time, and blamed the voters for not trusting them, and insisting upon paper ballots. They sued the state w/ San Diego when Shelley decertified.
