2. A friend at work has a daughter who had 2 seizures
Nothing was found (brain scan, etc.)

Her neurologist said that sometimes these seizures disappear as the child grows up. As long as they do not, she must call 911 every time she has them.

Someone in my family has a daughter who has cerebral palsy. She has fever seizures and has to be taken to the ER every time she has them.

That's all I know.

3. my gr - grandson
has beeen having grand mal seizures in his sleep. He is on medication, and I worry because having worked in the 70s and early 80s with epilepsy patients I have a pretty good idea of what those meds are like.

I realise that things change , and the meds are now safer, but he is just a child:( and I worry worry worry

4. My niece began to have seizures at age 10, after
Edited on Sat Aug-11-07 11:41 AM by Quakerfriend
she was scratched by her cat.

After many visits to a number of neurologists in Phila., one finally acknowledged that she could be suffering from cat scratch fever. She was on seizure medication for approx. 6 months.
My sister decided to wean her off of the meds at that point. She has been seizure-free now for 4 years.

No definitive diagnosis was ever made.
