A class act, all the way.

I have always admired him and that was amplified today.

Talked about everything from ancient carved Quan Yin and Buddhas to paintings to Indonesian wedding swings to wind chimes and on and on.

1. I envy you, your visit with Ron Dellums
I've always been a fan, but only had a chance to meet him very briefly, when he was here in Houston for Mickey Leland's memorial service.

I remember when I first got C-Span back in the late 70's. It's was such a kick listeninng to Dellums and Conyers in the same time frame. What a hoot, Dellums aggressive presentation and Conyers sleepy way of speaking. Gosh, what I'd give to hear that back and forth from two heros, once again.

3. His bearing was quite impressive.
I could tell when he walked in that he was "somebody".

And, unlike most politicos, he never tried to tell me who he was. Bill Clinton was the same way, but he was - of course - unmistakable.

4. Did Clinton come into
your gallery too?

If so, please describe. Is he an imposing man physically? I know he is mentally.

2. He's been a hero of mine for almost 40 years
I used to play basketball with the Berserkeley cops back in the late 60's and he dropped by the gym once or twice. He could have gone very high in the system if he'd played the game but he stayed true to his principles. I'd call him a true renaissance man.

5. A foque running an art gallery.
I have to go grab a cool, damp washing flannel, some smelling salts, and find my fainting bench. ;-)
