Austin library to be named for Laura Bush

© 2007 The Associated Press

AUSTIN — First lady Laura Bush, a longtime reading advocate, is getting a library named in her honor.

Construction is set to begin next year on the Laura Bush Community Library in a posh Austin neighborhood. Bush visited another library in the area Tuesday for the dedication and signed a children's book that will be the first in the new facility.

"Libraries have been a part of my life for my whole life, since my mother first took me to the Midland Public Library when I was a child," said Bush, a former librarian and school teacher. "You can imagine how thrilled I am to have a library named for me. I've loved libraries since those days in Midland."

It will be the first library named solely for Bush. An El Paso library is named for the first lady and her mother, the Jenna Welch and Laura Bush Community Library.

If they stock it with all the books that the blivet claimed to read, it will be overflowing!

23. " I am crapping you negative"
That took me about fifteen seconds to digest.

I missed the link. So, what else is new?

I miss a lot.

And I begin the majority of my sentences with the word "I".

I just can't help myself.

Tom (aka The Great Narcissist)

Help me

Please

I am drowning in me.

I don't get it -- "long time reading advocate." Is there a group out there that has been mounting opposition to reading?

A proposed shoe museum has settled upon its location and a name. The group has decided to dedicate the museum to Laura Bush, a long-time advocate of wearing shoes....

21. Yeah, Homeland Security is indirectly discouraging it. They want
to know Everything you are looking at to discourage you from reading anything that might teach you about what sinister pricks they are.
