I have a feeling that Rover's going to have a hard time re-assimilating
into private life. No doubt he will end up in some gated security-tight community. I think he actually will need more security that George.

The right winger are probably pretty stemed at him for participating in the foul-up of the republican party and the liberals hate him for other reasons..millions of them:)

2. I do not think
he is going to be re-assimilating into private life any time soon. I suspect he is being shifted into a position to help the republican effort to maintain power in 2008.

3. The minute I heard he was quitting, I immediately thought he would be helping Fred
but I'm beginning to think that fred won;t run, so Rover will probably be Slippery Mittens' go-to guy in the south :grr:

Rover will roll around in the slime and SM will be able stay above it all..:grr:

4. Poor Old Fred.
Patrick Buchanan said he's like a guy who the crowd is watching on the 25-foot high diving board. He doesn't really want to take the plunge, but he doesn't want to climb down, either. And the longer he stands on the diving board, the more the republican crowd recognizes that he really isn't Reagan-like, after all.

The republicans are in a strange position. I think it is worth considering if they would use Rove to try to keep their party in a position of power in either the House or Senate, even more than in the White House? I think that the republicans in congress are going to make a play for being seen as cutting down the US troop level in Iraq, while the White House creates increased tensions in Iran, in order to manipulate the public. And that is Rove's only talent: manipulation.
