Death Toll in Iraq Bombings Rises to 250

BAGHDAD, Aug. 15 — The death toll following a series of bomb attacks on two Iraqi villages near the Syrian border rose to 250 today, with 300 to 350 wounded, and the number of dead could rise further as rescuers continued to dig through the rubble, local Iraqi officials said.

1. Yea, and didn't I hear yesterday that the Pentagon said 150 was too high?

They could only confirm 40 killed and 200 injured, but conceded that the # killed would probably go up a little and the injured would go down.

Boy, I betcha Shrub is just thrilled to hear about this, since it's only 1 month from the Petreus Report!
