6. Debates are not his strenght , but he is improving nicely and
he is still impressing people in his campaign stops, like he did today in Iowa.

10. He was strong in Chicago last week.
Hil still took it, from my view in the crowd, but it was a tie when I re-watched on the tube. Same for Edwards. And that's only my view for the 1st tier candidates. Dennis rocked the crowd and the tube.

Obama was magnetic in the parking lot, before the debate. The crowd was in awe. The man has an aura about him.

5. His hems and haws irritate me a lot.
The constant pauses bother me.

Makes me think he's not sure of himself or he's afraid he'll say the wrong thing.

That's fine after an election, but I want to see how a person is talking normally.

Either you believe what you're saying or you don't. If you do, why all the pauses?

Just frigging say it already!!!

8. I disagree. That's just a bad habit he needs to break!
He can overcome that by feeling secure with what he's saying.
Unless he actually does have a stuttering problem and there
are remedies for that too. I hate hanging on every pause,
waiting to hear the punchline. I lose interest.

13. That IS how he normally talks.
Many people talk like that. I know of a CEO of a corporation who speaks just like Obama, and the man is a genius.

I sometimes talk like that. I try to stop myself when I notice it.

11. he`s good
i listened to him no more than 6 feet away and at eye level and he`s good-very good. he`s been blessed by two of the finest senators that illinois has ever had, paul simon and dick durbin and whether or not he makes it to the white-house obama will be a force to reckon with in the coming years. i prefer him to stay my senator but that`s up to the rest of the party and the american people

he might actually be a halfway decent candidate in about 8 or 12 years.

15. He has, what I call, fortituduous vision.
Edited on Wed Aug-15-07 06:05 PM by sicksicksick_N_tired
He has exposure to the burdens of this country's ills and then some.

He has a vision to improve the condition of this country.

He's young enough to see a dream; old enough to see the obstacles; wise enough to 'play the game'.

(eek,...in a hurry and WAY OFF spelling the 'fortituduous' word).
