The writer is former principal deputy assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs because of the nepotism of her father. Hmmm... why didnt she enlist? Oh, thats right - other priorities, just like dad.

I would repeat what your father told Leahy on the Senate floor, but Im too nice a person. But that sums up what I think about this article. Your father is a draft-dodging coward. He says we dont have the stomach for war. Where was his stomach during the VietNam war? Lets see, how many draft deferments did he get? Its so easy to send soldiers to die, when you have no idea what its like. His bravado and warmongering has severely cripped this nation and made it less secure. Next time, he should not invade a country until he has a plan to secure it. All he had was oil on his mind. I could go on and on, but why? He hasnt learned a thing. How does it feel to have a father that is probably one of the most hated men in the country? Shame on you, shame on him...

Earth to Ms. Cheney. Liz, its so over in Iraq and the reason why is that your hero, the Chickenhawk-in-Chief in the White House, and his oh so savvy advisors lost it within the first months of taking Baghdad. This is one war the Dems did not screw up. The Bubble Boy did it on his own and his latest plan to win the war is so self-evidently doomed to fail that even an armchair general like yourself knows it. Nice try, Liz, nice try. Maybe another column or two like this one and some fatcat Republican businessman will get you a mercy job on K Street. Or, as suggested by mlhickman, you could volunteer. I have to reserve just a soupçon of contempt for the Washington Post in running her little hit piece in the first place. It's not like someone like Liz Cheney doesn't have ample opportunities and means to spew her mean little squirts of bile, but why does the Post feel obliged to allocate its valuable media real estate to her?
