Secret White House manual: How to stop anti-Bush T-shirts?

The Bush administration has agreed to pay $80,000 to a husband and wife who were ejected from a presidential rally because of their anti-Bush T-shirts.
snip
The settlement, in which the government admitted no wrongdoing, came after the disclosure of an allegedly "sensitive" Presidential Advance Manual, which laid out the White House's meticulous efforts to protect the president and his public image from dissent.
snip
he first step to keeping demonstrators out of events, the manual tells the president's event staff, is to encourage the Secret Service to "ask the local police department to designate a protest area...preferably not in view of the event site or the motorcade route."

2. Gee, I wonder how the WH would handle single letters of the alphabet on tees...
Just shuffle up all the letter wearers... one letter per tee shirt. Then, you see, we could spell out anything we damn well please, of course, all from within the boundaries of the protest area.

This just won't work, but it sure tells you what they've been up to in time for the REAL public dissent. You can only have so much monetary settlement out with every person wearing an anti-Bush slogan. You can also have as many protest "areas" as you damn well please.

What is this? Nazi Germany? Yeah, we're in Nazi Germany now. Maybe we'll all get stars after they catch us!

5. Good thing they have their priorities in order.
If you're a crafty person, just find a t-shirt with a cartoon monkey on it, and whip out the fabric paint.

Thrift stores have tons of t-shirts with cartoon monkeys on them, especially in junior girls sizes. If you are a bigger size than that, just cut out the monkey, glue it onto a t-shirt that fits you, and maybe lightly stitch it on. Then write the message in fabric paint.

I made one that says "IMPEACH THE CHIMP" on the front, and "CHIMPEACH" on the back.

7. Oh, give him a home / Where the buffalo roam...
...And never is heard / A discouraging word...

It's not too surprising. Who amongst the WH staff wants to see Little Lord Pissypants have a meltdown right there in front of God and Babs and campaign contributors and the International Tourists and everybody?

8. His father did the same thing during an Amtrak tour....
He was scheduled to come to our city by way of Amtrak and make a quick "meet and greet" stop...in the local paper the police requested that anyone wanting to protest George HW Bush to NOT attend and police were there to stop people...I know because I went anyway

The police said no signs, no tee-shirts..no anything ...that was "anti-Bush"

9. a new book out by Matthew Rothchild
entitled "You Have No Rights" documents 82 different incidents of political repression of American citizens including this case.
My city library was happy to order it for me, by saying the book "is definitley one that they should have".

Check it out!
