Still MORE Chinese product problems: Phony Diabetic Testing Strips and
One Touch Ultra, and One Touch Basic. According to KING TV (Seattle) reporting that Johnson and Johnson discovered the bogus strips LAST YEAR when customers began complaining. The Chinese company that made the strips also makes Pregnancy test strips, HIV test strips, among others.

I wonder if J & J found out LAST year, why this is on the news tonight.

3. they were sending bogus cancer drugs for awhile
They had some huge company that was able to make very good likenesses of American pharmaceutical products. The show (Dateline?) posed as purchasers of pharmaceuticals and worked out a deal to import them. The amount of money they would have made was staggering.

But they were caught and the rep who negotiated the deal got 20 years in prison for her role in it.

Sadly, Americans died because they were taking a phony cancer drug.

This strikes me as so sad: that someone would put a family through something like this so they could make a few extra bucks off a prescription.

This is one reason to be careful of those 4 prescription drugs from Wal-mart or anyplace else. Bet anything those drugs come from China. And the tragedy is--you could just as well pay 24 for the drug and it would be the same situation.

4. They did the investigation
I saw this a few days ago. J&J discovered the phony strips and contacted some federal agency. Then, J&J put in place a whoe operation to track down whoever had manufactured the strips. It was very complex, subcontractor to subcontractor. It's taken this long to find where they came from, I think it was a couple of brothers or something along those lines. China is a libertarians dream, without that pesky voting thing. :)

J&J did good here, as far as I could tell by the report.
