This Saturday, march with the Iraq Freedom Contingent!
Join with us at the national March on Washington to raise the call for an immediate end to the occupation, and for a socially progressive alternative in Iraq — an independent, democratic, secular and non-ethnic/non-sectarian republic.

We will be meeting at the intersection of 3rd St. SW, Maryland Ave. SW and Independence Ave. SW, in front of the National Museum of the American Indian (Metrorail Blue Line to Federal Center SW Stop; exit on 3rd Street SW and go two blocks North).

We will begin gathering at 10 a.m. and walk together to the rally, which starts at 11 a.m.

6. Hey, that's a nice sentiment and all
But who exactly is going to put this progressive, etc., Iraq in place? The Communist League? Are they gonna be greeted as liberators, too?

Hey, good luck with that, you're welcome to it. You can have my trailer.

7. Before you make a comment like that
I would suggest reading more about the Iraq Freedom Congress and their work inside of Iraq. The IFC's website is http://www.ifcongress.com/.

9. Well, six guys with a website, that's very different.
It's cute that Samir Adil and a few of his mates have a hobby, but it fails to acknowledge that the Iraqis LIKE political Islam. Islamic parties won the vast majority of votes in the election. I think those IFC guys, or their gullible Japanese sponsors, are to be commended for garnering as much attention as they have, considering their actual presence and impact in Iraq (as far as I can see from living here, talking to Iraqis and watching Arab media) is so close to nil.

10. "Actual presence and impact ... is so close to nil"
Which is why, of course, the Basra Oil Workers union, the General Federation of Trade Unions, the teachers' union, the mechanics' and metalworkers' union, the unemployed union, etc., etc., etc., are supporting the IFC. That's why neighborhoods in Baghdad and other cities are now patroled and protected by IFC Safety Forces.

I would suggest that you step out of your Green Zone a little more often and find out what's really happening.
