"The Enemy" could be literally anyone, even you.

The neo cons and their followers always refer to 'the enemy', which means, Al Qaeda, the Taliban, the insurgents, the Iranians, the ungrateful occupied, the freedom fighters, the terrorists, Muslims, Mexicans, whatever the hell you want to refer to them as, they are all conveniently thrown into a large pot called 'the enemy'.

When the bush lovers, the insane 25%ers speak unguarded to one another, the refer to the enemies of freedom, and we, the liberals are included in that group. In all their rhetoric they say we are unpatriotic, we give aid and comfort to the enemy, we hate the troops, we actually support the terrorists/enemy, and deep, deep down in their tiny little white hearts, WE, you and I are 'the enemy'.

Is this 'enemy' instinct something left over from the cave man days? Who is really our enemy? How do we show, or convince the 25%ers who the real enemies of America are? Or is that pointless?

Thankfully, we have Big Brother to protect us from 'the enemy'.

I LOVE Big Brother.

That's a losing cause if ever there was one.

The 25%ers are, as you mentioned- not sane, i.e. not amenable to reason. They're best marginalized- placed by the sidelines in front of a TV, as one might do with a crazy relative during the holidays.
