Littering? Hmmmf! Fuck you Ohio polees!
A man in Kent Ohio places an "Impeach Bush" sign in a public park and police give him a ticket for "Unlawful Advertising". Informed by the courts that non-commercial speech isn't "advertising", and apparently unfamiliar with the concept of "free speech", the police change the charge to "littering". Rant ensues:

1. I'm sure there was a political motive in that, but we have laws like that
here in Ga. too. NO SIGNS are permitted within a specific # of feet of the highway. Certain areas cannot be posted at all.

There have been realtors fined, campaigns fined, and anyone who posts a sign for anything in the wrong place. I know I paid particular attention when I was posting my yard sale signs!

2. Sort of too bad - but I don't want public parks to be the new battlefield for signs of any sort.
I like parks with grass, trees, maybe some water and some seating. They don't need to be filled with political signs.
