Final Time Travelers To Board Back To The Future The Ride Labor Day
Jul 29, 2007

Universal City, CA -- The countdown to the final mission on Back to the Future - The Ride has begun at Universal Studios Hollywood. After thrilling over 61 million visitors, the ride will soar into the future for the last time on Labor Day, September 3, 2007.

Fans of the attraction now have the opportunity to go for one final journey before the ride closes forever. Back to the Future - The Ride takes guests on a wild ride across "the space-time continuum". A groundbreaking theme park attraction, the ride blends breakthrough simulator technology with a cutting-edge Omni-max 70mm film to create a total sensory experience.

A signature attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood for over 14 years, Back to the Future - The Ride is being removed to make way for a new thrill ride based on "The Simpsons" TV series and movie. The Simpsons ride is slated to debut in Spring 2008.

which is an active, lucrative franchise. BTTF has little or no cross-sell - nobody is buying dolls, or renaming their fast food outlets based on it.

4. Ah, I have fond memories of the BTTF ride at Universal Studios. I know
it's old now, but it was the first of it's kind and I'll never forget how I felt sitting in that front seat and really feeling like I was about to be swallowed by a dinosaur. Truly a great and fun ride. Hate to see it go.
