I heard on the radio this morning about the victims of the Peruvian earthquake

and I wondered why the US wasn't sending in helicopters and rescue teams. I was only half awake, which is the only excuse I have for not remembering:

1. Helicopters, rescue teams? All our troops and equipment are in Iraq

2. Send help? WOuld George Bush send help?

Thats probably the first thing * thought when he heard about the earthquake.

I bet no one even asks us for help anymore....like we have anything left to help with.

ReThug contractors that do nothing, all the aid items will end up parked in the mud somewhere near an airport in a backwater town.. shit that was defective or dangerous and couldn't be sold, cause it would have been condemned and would result in billions of dollars of lawsuits, and rich reThug corporations score big and the rest go the way of Katrina victims

On the 24 hrs news channel from Spain they mentioned that the United States was sending Army Medics.
