It's been said by many on DU that we might suffer another terrorist attack

before Bush and his cabal leave office. Possibly as a means of upping his sagging numbers with the kool-aid drinkers in his party or as a means to promote the next Repug President.

Well, here's what I say...

If we are attacked again, we should scream in one loud voice, over and over and over:

Why didn't you protect us? You said if Kerry-a Democrat is elected, he wouldn't/couldn't protect us. Only the Republicans could protect us, only Bush could!!! SO WHY DIDN'T YOU PROTECT US???

We should scream it to the papers, to the TV News, both local and national.

We should Never let it drop.

We should Never let the message be corrupted by the Repugs.

We should Never let them change the words or talk themselves out of it.

We should Never let them make it out to be our fault!

It should be our theme, our mantra, our talking point--Why didn't you protect us???

possible....because they will be busy blaming the Democratic Party!

with no attack, what do we say then? Think.:think:

That way she can be blamed for it, and if there's still a Dem House and a Dem Senate, the neocons hit the Blame trifecta!

screaming for them to protect them from US.... I don't need the Government to protect me and mine, However I do need them to butt out of our lives,, If you are so weak you need protecting, you have lost the last freedom you have, and deserve neither.

...to pull a LIHOP or a MIHOP.

However, if you think about it---there are so many downsides. Our borders are not
protected. We could point to that. We could also point to how our port containers
are not inspected, and our chemical and nuclear facilities have poor security. One
could even make the case that our horrible foreign policy and our failures in Iraq
have incited more terrorists and hatred of the US.

There are many BushCo failings that could be directly linked to another terrorist attack.

Furthermore, having TWO terrorist attacks happen on the Republican watch would look
extremely bad for the party. How in the world could they campaign on national
security when this has happened twice on their watch and never on a Dem's watch?

The problem with all of this rational thinking, is that rational thinking and the
truth are not reported anymore. The media would have to make these observations
about Republican failures.

What scares me is...I think the neocons understand very well what another terrorist attack
means, in terms of eroding Republican standing. If they do MIHOP/LIHOP it will have
to be catastrophic enough to PTSD the entire country into a terrified, irrational state.

It's scary. It really is. What will they do? What will happen? Only time will tell.

I just can't wait until these bastards are out of our White House.
