God, I love vacation!
We're just back from three weeks in Maine - reading in a hammock beside the lake, hiking around ponds and up mountains, kayaking, and eating copious amounts of lobster. It was incredible! The only down side was no internet access, which meant no DU. I sufferred withdrawal, but managed to survive. It's funny how much like family folks around here become.

1. That sounds great
I'm retired, so I don't get a vacation, I don't get weekends off, I don't get Friday afternoons off. I don't get holidays off. I don't even know when its a weekend. I know you feel absolutely miserable for me.

Every day ending in the letter 'Y' is more or less open.

4. OK, that'll be enough from you two....
I only get my summers off, a week at Christmas, Easter, and a week in February because of the grueling lapse of time off between Christmas and Easter, so I don't even want to hear about your retired bliss.

3. Every day is a Sunday
for me these days. I still work very hard but everything I work on is something I chose.

8. Hi Sweetie
Yeah, sometimes I get bored but its nice to have the time to do whatever you want to do. My wonderful mother in law came down last month for a nice visit. Took her to see some Louisiana Alligators.

5. We're in the same boat, BOSS.
I'm retired as well, and as my wife is a school teacher, summer is pretty much ours to command.

7. I'm very lucky
My wife is eligible for retirement but they'll have to kick her out the door, then she'll go find another job. She has all the energy in our house. I keep the house immaculate (easy with just the two of us), wash most of the clothes, do most of the shopping, most of the yard work (she likes dicking around in the landscaping) and cook about half the time. She cooks to ensure we get a good meal every now and then. I'm very fortunate and truly undeserving.
