It was released today that the suicide rate for the Army has reached a 26-year high. For a mother whose son has served three deployments, was wounded on his second, is drinking himself into his grave and is looking at his fourth deployment, this is very disturbing news. How can we rationalize sending our troops into war over and over again? How many Americans really sacrifice for this war? Not many, by my calculations. How can you Republicans continue to support this war? How much do you have to lose? Have you seen lately how our veterans are treated? Like second class citizens. Do you have a problem with how our wounded veterans are treated? Are you OK with our tax dollars funding private contractors, rather than funding our men on the ground? Shame on you. Support our troops. Bring them home and care for them properly when they come home. Look into Veterans for America. I am proud to be a member. They support homeless vets, vets struggling to get on their feet and vets who can’t find a job. You can find more info here. Help our vets — those who are wounded inside and outside.
