Family Security Matters:" The wisest thing would have been to nuke Iraq"
Edited on Tue Aug-21-07 12:55 AM by walldude
Thanks to C&L and Digby for this little gem. Barbara Comstock, Monica Crowley, Frank Gaffney, Laura Ingraham and James Woolsey are some of the board members of this wonderful group Family Security Matters:

"The wisest course would have been for President Bush to use his nuclear weapons to slaughter Iraqis until they complied with his demands, or until they were all dead. Then there would be little risk or expense and no American army would be left exposed. But if he did this, his cowardly electorate would have instantly ended his term of office, if not his freedom or his life."

Read the rest at the link, it'd be funny if they weren't serious.

2. It's a admission of total & utter defeat & humiliation.
When "nuke 'em" is the solution then you know it's all over.

3. That's so unfair and so extremely racist
They obviously don't view Iraqis as human beings.

4. Actiually, it may have been a DUer who found that, and got word round the Internet
so let's give credit to Booley, who noted it here back on the 8th of August: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x3434879 (though they are good enough to say "Somebody on another forum showed it to me"). Thom Hartmann then discussed it on Air America, before August 16th.

6. Umm..
"The wisest course would have been for President Bush to use his nuclear weapons to slaughter Iraqis until they complied with his demands, or until they were all dead."

The weapons do not belong to the current resident, they are property of the US government which is essentially the citizens of the USA.

"Then there would be little risk or expense and no American army would be left exposed."

Little risk from radioactive fallout around the world?

"But if he did this, his cowardly electorate would have instantly ended his term of office, if not his freedom or his life."

Slaughtering helpless millions from a great distance with little risk to yourself is brave.

Thinking such a slaughter is a despicable act of an ultimately depraved individual is cowardly.

I truly wish I had to ask "do these people really think this way?", but unfortunately I know they do.
