1. I really really hope that you are joking.

First, the hurricane name list is developed years in advance of the hurricane season. The 2007 season received its name list in 2001/2002.

Second, there's really nothing political about the names list, EXCEPT for the inclusion of men's names in the 1970s, which may or may not have been done because of pressure by women's groups.
