13. Yeah, but our leaders would let Dubya choose anyone he wanted.
He's the president, after all, and a war-time, heroic one at that.

Besides, we have to keep our powder dry.

18. I wish you weren't right.
I'd like to think that Congress wouldn't allow this putz to put forward a new Supreme Court nominee should one pass between now and Jan. 2009, but they probably would.

Because that powder's gotta stay dry for the important stuff dontchaknow.

4. only problem with this is, the big dick has been working toward kingship since
way back in his nixonian days so I doubt seriously if he would step down for any reason. the boy wants to be king

5. Yeah but big dick's work is almost done like karl.
dick likes to work behind the curtain, he's universally loathed, and plans on retiring into undeserved comfort and splendor anyway. Rachel's just day dreaming about worst case scenarios, and with this bunch, any frikkin' thing is possible.

15. You got it
When i read an article about Dick and Rummy and how they've been working on plans to keep the government running in an "emergency" since the Nixon administration, I realize how dangerous it is that we as a nation let Cheney get this high a position in the executive branch.

Especially the sadistic pleasures.

19. Yes, he would.
The Senate would make a lot of noise, but they'd go along with it.

Not that I think this is going to happen.

20. It can be easier than that. BushCo trades nomination for VP slot
for Jeb. Who among the Thug candidates are corrupt enough to take Jeb on board? That's who we're running against. :scared:

21. Jeb is not a viable candidate for 08 no matter WHAT the scenario, end of story.
The country might still possibly be fooled into electing another Republican, I don't discount that at all, but no one, not even Republicans, are hungry for more "Bush" in the White House.
