""Excuse me for getting a little suspicious," Schieffer said, pointing out that "the White House want the general to deliver the report to Congress behind closed doors while Cabinet officers do the talking in public. And suddenly we're told the general won't actually write the report, but that his thoughts will be included in a summary prepared by the White House.""

You copied an s with bracket thingys around it, which invoked a strikethrough in most of your OP.

4. ONE mistake, ah ah aaaa! (thunder rumbling)
In your source article, from which you copied, there is a letter s that has square brackets around it. Square brackets invoke HTML code here at DU, so everything after the <s> has a strikethrough. Notice I used chicken beaks instead of the square brackets so I wouldn't fall into the same deadly trap.

It's not like I'm smart or anything, I've just made this very same mistake so many times I manage to remember.

5. Who woke up Bob?
He gets up grumpy, but a couple of glasses of Kool-Aid, and he'll be back parroting the administration line in no time. It's nice to know that before his minders get a hold of him, he still has the brain power to be suspicious of the White House machinations. Some of us have been suspicious for a long time, Mr. Schieffer. Welcome to the party. Don't leave early.
