A Wichita pastor suffered a stroke and was left outside an Orlando airport for three days before anyone noticed.
76-year-old Kenneth Davis is now recovering in an Orlando hospital.
His family says he flew from Wichita to Orlando for a gospel seminar.
They believe he wasn't feeling well, asked for a wheelchair, and was rolled to curb to be picked up.
They believe during that time he suffered a stroke and stayed there from midnight Monday to Wednesday afternoon.
"...urinated on himself, his clothes were soiled. He was dressed in nice clothes...didn't seem bummy or anything like that, so...and no one noticed that. No one noticed it," says his daughter, Melinda Davis.
Davis family says he has been the senior pastor of the Immanuel Outreach Centre in Wichita over the last forty years. He is also a pastor at the Safe Temple in Salina, Kansas.
The Orlando airport did send this press release in response to the incident:
"The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority acknowledges that it is unfortunate that reverend Kenneth Davis became ill while at our airport. We will continue to offer him and his family the best, and we wish him a full and speedy recovery. Over the course of the incident, Mr. Davis could have received assistance from numerous members of the airport community, including airline employees, TSA agents, GOAA employees and restaurant workers and police. However, he did not seek help or indicate that there was a problem, which slowed the overall response. The authority continues to investigate and we are reviewing 3 days worth of video which is a tedious and time-consuming process. We are making every effort to have a preliminary report ready early next week. While details are unavailable due to the ongoing investigation we can say with confidence that contrary to previous reports Mr. Davis was not left sitting in a wheelchair in front of oia for three days."
