She just got back from a cruise, let her talk about it. I went on this same cruise, same ship, same everything two years ago and it is an experience. She'll finish up in a few minutes and start talking about something important. I HOPE!

But somewhere along the way she became very self-absorbed. She still does a good rant from time to time, and I'd really love to see/hear her debate, but quite honestly, it's beginning to be too hard to sit through an entire show. I want to love her, but alas...

10. Me too.

I can't listen to her. She loves to hear herself talk. She's sarcastic and just keeps talking the entire time. When she rarely has a guest on, she interrupts them. Can't listen to her.

I remember seeing a thread about it here....

Maybe something's going on behind the scenes. At any rate, she shouldn't take it out on her fan base.

And I agree with her -- it really does mirror the new politics vs. same old same old argument. Our country should be standing for something, not just going along to get along, with regimes like Musharraf's and Saudi Arabia. Part of our "image problem" around the world is that we're seen as putting our fingers in the wind, taking a poll and acting overwhelmingly just in our own self-interest (hmm, kinda reminds me of some of our candidates ... ) when it comes to "foreign policy".

I welcome Obama's fresh, more candid approach ... One thing you'll NEVER see him do is hold hands with the Saudi King!

if this is what Randi thinks of those who DIDN'T get to attend for free, like herself. I'm sorry, but her attitude is ugly and shows me yet again that she might be all that with a microphone in her hand, but she's not someone I'd admire or even want to speak with IRL.

I know there are people here who know her. When will you tell her that when she's too self-important to even be polite to the "little people," maybe she should look to another way to make a living? Those "little people" she's so scornful of and nasty to support her advertisers and essentially sign her paycheck.

helderheid, I'm still thinking about this. If her life is so terrible, why doesn't she go to work somewhere that she has no contact with the public whatsoever?

Really.

She gets paid to talk four hours a day. She gets to go on a cruise for free that others paid several thousand dollars to attend because of her fame. I'd like to know why she believes she can mock those who help keep her in the style to which she's now accustomed. I'd also have no problem telling her this to her face.
