Can you use this excuse at work?: 'Human beings make mistakes.'
That was George Tenet's excuse for the failures of the CIA.

Oh, and he just got a 4 million dollar book deal.

:wtf:

10. Actually, at my job it's okay.
As long as you don't keep making the SAME mistake over and over again.

18. Nope. Just money.
I got fired from my previous job, allegedly for making too many mistakes. There's more to it, I'm sure, but  I could never figure out exactly what it was. It might be I offended someone with my unabashed political views--though I didn't precisely advertise TOO much at work. But I'm easily traced on-line. Anyone who wants to can find out EXACTLY what I stand for.

12. Sure. If you never make a mistake you are probably not doing anything at all.
I'm a well trained professional and I make mistakes from time to time. Not on the level of Mr. Tenent of course but mistakes do get made. Nobody's perfect.

14. I guess if you'd seen the way he said it, on CBS nightly news...
..you'd know why I'm so upset. He said it with a very condescending and dismissive tone.

21. Yes, coming from him and the fact that we know these weren't "mistakes" is quite different.
These guys knew exactly what they were doing the whole time. There weren't any mistakes, there were straight up lies and manipulation of facts to start an unjustified war for fun and profit. I'd be pissed too if I saw that ass say that.

16. Most Jobs Will Let You Make An Occasional Mistake
....BUT IT'S NOT CALLED "MISTAKE" WHEN IT COSTS BUNCHES AND BUNCHES OF LIVES. Then it's called being complicit in murder.
