News flash: Conservatives read less.
It's about as surprising as finding cold beer in my fridge.
Here's the story:

1. They read? What, the Limbaugh Letter?
Great science there.

2. They don't even read the bible -- which is where that "personal
relationship" with god comes in handy.

3. Yes, I forgot about that book.
I guess they read that dumb Left Behind series too.

4. Someday we need to edit a copy of the Compassionate Conservative
Edited on Tue Aug-21-07 06:49 PM by sfexpat2000
King James - with those chapters on abortion and gay marriage and stem cell research and brown people, public health care and schools, women's rights and the Miracle of the Disappearing Pensions. The Ascension of Big Oil.

Just spell it out, once and for all.

5. Acrually, what they don't read is the New Testament
Particularly the Gospels.

If they did, they'd be clamoring for "The Sermon on the Mount" to be hung in every courtroom and placed in every public park....

13. I term them "sandwich-bread Christians," focusing only on creationism
and some warped version of Revelations involving us nuking Tehran--the first and last books, like the bread of a sandwich that misses the condiments, meat, lettuce, onions, etc.

8. I think they must have a personal relationship with some other god
that encourages hatred and meanness and death.

10. Conservatives want forgone conclusions.......
not a bunch of confusing information to mess up their simple black and white world view. That's why Fox News works.

11. They do not have to read...
Chimpy and Company are on the pulpit and they believe whatever they are told to believe.

12. As John Stuart Mill said: Not all conservatives are stupid people...
but, most stupid people are conservative.

14. I've noticed that the Pukes who buy Puke books think they're buying trophies.
They display them on livingroom shelves and dust 'em off every so often.
