14 U.S. Soldiers Die in Iraq Helicopter Crash

BAGHDAD -- A helicopter crashed in northern Iraq on Wednesday, killing all 14 U.S. soldiers aboard, the military said.

The military said initial indications showed the aircraft experienced a mechanical problem and there were no indications of hostile fire, but the cause was still under investigation.

The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was part of a pair on a nighttime operation when the crash occurred. The four crew members and 10 passengers aboard the aircraft perished in the crash, according to a statement.

1. That's why this surge talk, both good and bad doesn't matter.....

Sad as this is, it was to be predicted....and will happen again and again, until our American policy in Iraq is totally changed...and that won't happen until Bush is outa there.

In the end, too may folks still die, regardless of how many or how few troops. It ain't about the troops and their numbers, its about a messed up strategy from the gate bound for failure. period.
