Poll question: The Front Runner
This far out from the primaries, have you made up your mind about the (media-described) front runner, Hillary Clinton?

Could you vote for Hillary in your primary? Not asking about the general election.

Feel free to say why or why not, or qualify your vote.

3. I've already stated I'm not voting for Hillary in the primary...
And I've gone to some length explaining why:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=103&topic_id=302912&mesg_id=302912

That said, if she wins the primary, she's got my vote in the general. She's better than any of the GOP candidates, that's for certain.

7. No Hillary, no DLC!
This is why the DLC is dangerous. For all their claims of supposedly wanting to help Democrats, they employ people like Marshall Wittman who specifically try to undermine the Democratic Party, even if it means he has to publicly defecate out the most rank and easily-debunkable lies. They reguarly give credence to the right wing's agenda and its worst, most unsupportable lies. They are the real force that tries to make sure this country is a one party state and that Democrats never really challenge the Republicans in a serious way.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-sirota/why-the-dlc-...

Without a doubt, the DLC is the most fundamentalist organization within the caucus, the most ideologically rigid, and the most destructive to the progressive cause.

10. The Democrats SHOULD be able to nominate a ham sandwich and win in 2008.
They're running against the WORST adminstration in history. This administration is so appallingly bad that it seems SOME Democrats think they can do nothing and ride in as the default alternative - the only (any want to believe) alternative the voters have. I personally think that's the attitude that drives people away from the polls and give credence to Nader's "pox on both houses." When it's coupled with demands for a conadidate with the LEAST difference from the current administration, I don't think it's much surprse that the electorate gets turned off.

If the Democratic Party can't win 2008 with ANY of the current crop of candidates, then they've sabotaged themselves FROM INSIDE, imho, if only in making the GOTV effort impossible.

12. you'd think the Dems can win...
Edited on Wed Aug-22-07 02:00 PM by marions ghost
if they DON'T (allowing for the effects of election manipulation)--it will say very bad things about the future of this country...many will lose faith in the system altogether. We are perilously close to that now.

Everyone I know seems to realize how critical it is.

13. I won't vote for her in the general either
I don't back Goldwater girls, college Republican presidents, or Wal-Mart board members
I simply don't trust the woman.
I'll either sit it out or vote Nader
