Face it...The surge will last long enough for Bush*Co to get to 2008
The surge dumps the problem into the next presidency. Its cover to get out of Washington.

Once again, the dim-son gets off free. No responsibility for the loss of life, loss of treasury or the loss of American prestige. No impeachment for tearing up the Constitution, ignoring Congressional oversight and devastating the American middle class.

Today at the VFW Convention in Kansas City, Bush* begins the farewell tour.

4. Republicans come into office, break everything and burden us with debt
Democrats regain office, fix things and drive the debt down.

Now sated and bored, citizens elect the Republicans for "a change."

Wash, rinse and repeat.

6. Someone asked me when I thought we would leave Iraq.
We won't be out before 2010. The military says it will take one year to withdraw, and that process is unlikely to start under Bush. If the next president orders an immediate withdrawal, thats the earliest it would be completed.
