Hmmm. Voinovich refuses to comment on Iraq trip

Voinovich refuses to comment on Iraq trip.

Sen. George Voinovich (R-OH) just returned from a quick 10 to 14 hour trip to Iraq, in which he met “with soldiers, civilians, Iraqi officials and U.S. military leaders including commanding Gen. David Petraeus.” But, unlike most lawmakers who return from the war-torn country, Voinovich is refusing to offer an assessment of what he saw on his trip. “He’s not going to get into that right now — what’s working, what’s not working, is the surge working,” his spokesman, Chris Paulitz, told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “He’s not really interested in a soundbite response.”

3. Voinovich has to wait until his opinion is officially given to him by GOP leadership.

4. He knows Iraq is in the shitter
And will not blather on how the 'surge' is working. We know better, and so does he.

Do-Nothing George is rapidly approaching the end of the political line; as Ohio slides into economic disaster he still carries water for BushCo.

He cannot distance himself from them fast enough, but that strategy will fail. One-term repuke failure.

6. I'm sure Voinovich only saw a dog and pony show anyway.
The soldiers he met were forced to be there with shit-eating grins, I'm sure, and he had prime rib with a few select Iraqi citizens who were brought onto the base. Voinovich is a fucking moron who can't even hold his own in a debate with Sean Hannity, so there's no way he got to see a lot. Darth Cheney made sure of that.

7. Levin saw the same show and it didn't stop him from
providing a soundbite.

8. Levin actually speaks English.
Voinovich, on the other hand, speaks Bush. As such, it was safe to feed Levin his opinion and turn him loose. Voinovich can't understand instructions on how to get from the window seat to the aisle seat, much less articulate them.

9. probably needs a good 48 hrs to absorb the sheer hell he just experienced..
then he'll be able to tell us how well the surge is working, how badly our troops want to remain and "finish the job", blahblahblah...
