"The defense strategy that refused to hand the South Koreans over to a totalitarian neighbor helped raise up an Asian Tiger that is a model for developing countries across the world, including the Middle East. "The result of American sacrifice and perseverance in Asia," he said, "is a freer, more prosperous and stable continent whose people want to live in peace with America not attack America."
So the model is to have a horrible, devastating proxy war in which your country ends up split in two. Half to be run by an insane dictator that runs the country into the ground. Last time I checked half of Korea was part of the axis of evil we were suppose to vote for him to protect us from. Is that it, the point of the war is to generate a country that we fear enough to need Republicans to protect us from? If this Asia is so much freer, prosperous and stable... why the heck are we fighting in Asia. He does understand Iraq is part of Asia? And if Asia wants to live in peace with us and the world why exactly does India, Pakistan, China, Russia, North Korea, Iran... have such large armies and such poor relations with us? I’m pretty sure if you ask the average American to list the US biggest enemies you’d have a nice list of Asian countries. Could it be * has no idea what countries are part of Asia?
