The term "Meta-Wars"
I wonder how often this term is used, because it seems like it would be important. Not much comes up in Google (deleted maybe?). I just got the idea from the word "metadata" which means "data organizing data". In this case, there seems to be a series of wars that appear somehow connected in some unexplained manner.

We've had the war on poverty a long time ago -- and that didn't have much impact on the American psyche. Then we had the "War on Drugs" which really irritated a lot of folks but it kept us in line. Now we have the "War on Terrorism" which has been fabulous at maintaining constant fear preventing anyone from pushing back against their bosses.

I'm just wondering, what will they use after the "war on terrorism" loses its zing?

I'm convinced this is all planned ahead of time. Will they go so far as the "War on Evil", maybe, and openly prosecute anyone perceived that way?

2. Meta-War
might be considered a war on war.

Which, in a sense, the OP is, or is instigating.

Recursive discussion, anyone?

3. "War on Evil"
that's a good one.

It's already seen as a war on evil by the christian fundies and freepers on one side and the muslim fundies on the other. But by branding it as such there's no need to even change the slogans - you can feed the same propaganda to both sides.

4. I'm hoping for a "War on Carbon."
There will be no flag-draped coffins in a War on Carbon.
