Tax and Spend Dems, Why aren't the Democrats just laughing?
Every Dem out there should be laughing and stating that the Republican Congress under Bush borrowed and spent more money than any in the history of the world, the only difference is where they spent it. Dems want to spend it on infrastructure, health-care, upgrading the military, saving social security. Republicans SPENT it on tax cuts for billionaires, no bid contracts to wealthy cronies and corporate donors, bridges to nowhere, giveaways to pharmaceutical companies, tax breaks for oil companies.

Why aren't the Dems laughing? Why do they continue to play defense, they should be out there every hour of every day pointing out where the money has gone and how much every man, woman and child in the nation owes because of their reckless cronyism.

1. they don't care, I hate to break it to you but
once you get in the "inner circle" you are made. Sure, there are dog and pony shows to make us think things are going to change, but why? If you had 130K a year coming in for life, the best medical care, free tickets at any event you choose to go to, and a great parking space to boot, would you throw rocks at your sponsors?

2. So, vote them out or keep them in to prevent others from partaking in the taxpayer feast?

6. Vote Dems in to spend the money where it's needed, not on tax breaks for
Exxon and bridges to nowhere!

4. Because The Repiggie Pundits Still Spew That Stuff, and Viewers Still Eat it Up
Edited on Wed Aug-22-07 04:06 PM by AndyTiedye
It has no basis on reality, it never did. Each recent Repiglickin President has run up record deficits
which are only supassed by the next Repiglickin who gets into the White House.

But the piggies own the media, so we get told that Democrats are "tax and spend"
and most people believe it.

5. My point is that if the Dems just laugh EVERY time this comes up and correct the
record, it would hurt the Pukes. Instead they go on the defensive.

9. Then how to we help them "reframe" the discussion? How about plunder and
profit Republicans.

7. Why?
Because they have absolutely no intention of doing what the people want.

10. Some Dems are talking about this
It's just they aren't leading in the polls atm. But certainly heard this spin more than once. The problem is this talk works well on Dem voters, but not so much on independents.
