Flynt Watch: what's the latest?
He's said he had the goods on about 30 Washington hypocrites and was deciding whether to drip, drip, drip the names out over a period of time, or drop the whole she-bang at once. It's been VERY quiet on that front. The Google did not reveal new news. Could Diaper-boy Vitter be it? G-d, I hope not.

Anybody hear/read an update on if and when Flynt would be exposing more hypocrites? Could it be he's waiting until after summer recess? It seems like this story has fallen way off the radar.

3. Flynt's investigator told me...
...there's plenty more. He's an old friend of mine. He said that Republicans "make it easy." By that he means there's plenty of dirt to be easily found. He's the one who stopped Livingstone and who nabbed Vitter.

Did he say that any of this will ever see the light of day? I wonder why they only got Vitter when there is so much more.

Any info on if/when disclosure will occur?

15. I always assume that his electronic communications are surveilled...
...so I don't ask about specifics. I do know that Flynt won't drop a bombshell on someone unless he or she is a hypocrit in matters moral. They had more dirt in 2000, but didn't use it.

12. True! I suggested, based upon the number he first said he had, that
he release info about a new on every two months, from then until the election! It would have worked out to be all of them released about 1 month before Nov.. 2008!

Not a cluster at one time, but it would soon become quite apparent just how long the list was getting, and it does take at least 2 months for a story to die down in the MSM...just enough time for the NEW one to take it's place!

6. Well that was during a news conference on July 12, 2007 the day after
...Vitter (R) was exposed into the public spot light for his hypocrisy. In the past Larry Flynt was instrumental in exposing similar glaring hypocrisies of Robert Barr (R-GA) and Bob Livingston (R) during the republican efforts to discredit and embarrass President Bill Clinton. My take on all this is that Larry Flynt will continue working and exposing hypocrite republicans and right wing religious zealots at his own pace and will not let down Americans in his defense of our constitutional rights.

11. Welcome to DU!
:toast: Glad you're here!
Your point about Rove, as well as the one upthread about Hastert may well be spot on. As I recall, Flynt was mumbling something that I took to be that he would present the miscreant with the damning evidence and only those who persisted in their hypocrisy by remaining in office against all logic would be flambuoyantly outed.

This was during the high point of his "deciding" how to release the information. The point about releasing data one by one was not only to twist the knife, but to allow the hypocrite to resign quietly...or face the music.

14. Me too
The way he drooled over Shrub when he first met him - '"Huge amounts of charisma, swagger, cowboy boots, flight jacket, wonderful smile, just charisma - you know, wow,'

Sounds like love at first sight to me.
