There have been many threads recently about porn, threads with 1500 reads & 150 replies....But at the end of the day, this California electoral-vote split proposal is a very significant story, I wish more people would get fired up over this story than over Jenna Jameson, Eva Angelina, & Nikki Benz (porn stars); cuz if those filithy Republicans pass this, then none of our great candiates: Obama, Edwards, HRC will likely get elected...:banghead:

1. Totally agree.

The pukes attempt to change the rules of the game. They always do. What I saw in the Hardball piece makes me want to scream to the Democratic Establishment...Fuck em right back.
If they want a fight, then it needs to be fought. Do the same friggin' thing in North Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, Virginia.
See how they like that.
Someone must have crunched to electoral maps to see which states this would work to OUR advantage.

It *must* happen nation-wide at once.

I'd rather we just move to direct election of the President, but then Congress would SERIOUSLY need to step up into the constitutional duties it's been neglecting for a while now.

5. This is of course worrying, but...

I remember some californian DU member talking about this awhile ago, saying the media is making a bigger deal out of it than it actually is, and that it has little to no chance of passing...of course, i could be completely mistaken, but who knows?

7. I wouldn't be so confident of it not passing

I don't know if you live in a state with the ballot referendum or not, but you wouldn't believe the crap that goes on here about ours. You can't tell by the name what propositions are, and the ads don't tell you squat. By the time they package this piece of excrement, it'll be called the "California Fairness in Elections Measure," and the ads will have "real" Californians talking about how they need this measure to save democracy.

Actually, it'll be worse than that. I'm not the creative, evil genius these frauds are.

"My vote doesn't count!" Auntie Sara will shout at the screen. "How do you know yours counts?"
