Another Tweety Man Crush
First there was McCain, then there was the chimp with his cod piece, and then Rudy. Now it's Fred (Grandpa) Thompson:
"Does (Fred Thompson) have sex appeal?...Gene, do you think there's a sex appeal for this guy, this sort of mature, older man, you know? ...Can you smell the English leaver on this guy, the Aqua Velva, the sort of mature man's shaving cream, or whatever, you know, after he shaved? Do you smell that sort of--a little bit of cigar smoke? You know, whatever."

I just read this on Daily Kos--but I actually think Tweets made these comments a bit ago.

15. Thompson.
Sullivan's allusion: http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2007/06/republicans-and.html

Outside the extremist, activist base, regular GOP voters turn out to be relatively tolerant when it comes to sexual minorities and private sex lives. They're not well represented by their party leaders, as far as policy is concerned. This is good news for Fred Thompson. The man has had a colorful and wide-ranging sex life, as I'm sure we will soon find out.

18. This is hilarious! "regular"?
" regular GOP voters turn out to be relatively tolerant when it comes to sexual minorities and private sex lives."

What is the opposite of regular?

I usually divide them up into -
. well dressed country club types who can pay $1500 to shake George's hand and have a photo taken - more if they sit down to eat.
. radical religionists and bigots
. all the others who are on the inside of the operation - PNAC, mercenaries, reverends, media, war weapon makers, earth resource predators, politicians, most lobbyists, etc.

Sullivan is really optimistic about the tolerance. He must not see the double hypocrisies.

19. I use your same divisions, but I have a few more
--The College Republicans who look down on people who work for a living, and 'support the troops' but wouldn't get near a uniform if their lives depended on it. The breathe in smugness, breathe out this fetid version of righteousness.

--The grown up College Republicans, red faced and gone to fat, obsessing about "their taxes" and how so much of "their money" goes to welfare queens/immigrants/'illegals'/and so on. These same people don't notice how much of "their money" is wasted and sucked away by corporations nestled against the Pentagon teats.

23. Excellent. Let's combine them, not all are at the country club.
However, when you say work for a living, do you mean manual work? If they work on wall street, or in advertising, fund raising, or at Rovian type work - they will say they are working for a living?

24. When I say work, I mean responsible and accountable employment, not
the bozos who show up when they feel like it and have a chair that they can warm with their well-fed ass just because their PAW has given them a leg up or an introduction. They don't have to be manual workers, but anyone who actually has to engage the brain, supervise or be supervised, and has to PRODUCE to get a paycheck!

16. You forgot Willard.... "He has the perfect chin, the perfect hair, he looks right. ....
on the January 19 edition of MSNBC's Hardball, host Chris Matthews said of Romney: "He has the perfect chin, the perfect hair, he looks right. He looks like a Mountie. He looks like from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police."

From the January 19 edition of MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews:

MATTHEWS: What do you think of him as an opponent? We're looking at him right now. He has the perfect chin, the perfect hair, he looks right. He looks like a Mountie. He looks like from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Can that guy capture the hearts of the American people, Steve McMahon?

25. The irony is, Mitt the Shitt was SIXTEEN before he ever spent a 4th of July in the US.
Swear to the Lizard, I do!!!! They spent EVERY summer in Canada.

It was a major faux pas he made in an interview (yes, he's been making them since he was a teen) much to the embarrassment of his father.

The Romneys just LOVED those summer vacations in Canada--you know, the place he'd go and torture his dog on the roof of the car, enroute!!

He obviously wasn't planning on running for prez in those days.....the no gun license, varmint hunting days. The pro-choice days, the immigrant landscaper days and the poor dog in the carrier on the roof during yearly 4th of July trips to Canada days! What an idiot.

He makes poor Swifty there appear beloved by comparison (and the way the GOP crapped on her, she did get a bit of a sympathetic bounce in the polls as they bounced her ass out the door...).

Mitt the best. I blew my top. I told her I warned her twice about Bush and she wouldn't listen. I warned her about the housing bubble and stock market and she wouldn't listen. So why should I tell her what a mistake it would be to vote for him -she won't listen. I would get some facts about him but it's not worth it.

And Fred---ewh who wants saggie baggies. Well, I forgot about Tweety.

I started watching Matthews when I was turned on to MSNBC...mostly, to see Keith Olbermann, but I figured I would catch the entire line-up. Tweety can't make up his mind who he's for...not to mention the "HA!" thing that really annoys me, and he also SPITS when he gets worked up, F*cker, er, Tucker is still a moron, and Dan Abrams :wtf: Wouldn't it be great to have a totally liberal line-up to counter fixed news?

39. No, FIRST there was RAYGUN, the original old man Tweety-FART!!1
RAYGUN is the reason for the season, the reason Tweety stopped being a Dem operative and went back to his family roots of being a "populist"-Irish-Catholic-Rethug.

In D.C. the hothouse name-of-the-game is who WINS. And RAYGUN beat the pants off of Tweety's two bosses, Tip and Jimmy. In D.C. as a flunky you are only as powerful and status-filled as your BOSS.

So Tweety was nothing after RAYGUN. Then he began worshipping RAYGUN. Then G.E. RUSSERT mentored him into being "fair," meaning reaching out to wingnuts who had been SO maligned under Liberal tyranny.

Tweety found his true family roots, immigrant hustling Rethugism (like Ahhnuld).
