Evil Thought: Are Republicans Wellstoning Nancy?
a caller on Stephanie Miller just now said what if they are trying to get Nancy on a smaller plane just because it will make her less secure? Jim Ward said the thought had crossed his mind.

Well, it never crossed mine either until now. Now I can't get it out of my head.

Wow.

1. Oh just shut up.
Not everything is a conspiracy, come back when there's any evidence of this.

6. Are you saying that a whole lot of people independent of each other suddenly
decided to attack Pelosi because the Sargeant at Arms requested a more secure aircraft?

No, I think there was a conspiracy to attack the Speaker and make her look bad on this non-issue.

I don't buy that the whole story is that a bunch of people acting independently decided to get involved. The attacks on Pelosi are coordinated between a number of people who are out to make Pelosi look bad.

8. Not so big on things like "following the topic of conversation", eh?

EDIT: The OP is talking about republicans being guilty of attempted murder. Thus the "shut up unless you have evidence" response.

3. Hasn't bush come out and defended her
and backed her?

If that is the case, they are trying to build a bond between bush & pelosi, so that the sweet little lady will feel a closeness to him for standing up for her and saving her from the other nasty bullies.

It's the way this group works, they find a weakness, capitalize upon it and then have someone come in and save you, thus creating an emotion bond and loyalty ties.

Good Cop/Bad Cop kind of games. Read the pysch-op materials, you see this is an intelligence gathering technique.

10. But he has publicly come out in support of her needs
He is trying to form a bond.

He wants her to owe him and feel a since of loyalty to him in case they do hold those impeachment proceedings.

11. No Sarcasm Tag?
Bush has no desire to "bond" wiht Nancy Pelosi.

Nor does he have any wish to have her "owe" him.

He wants to D.E.S.T.R.O.Y. her.

All of his cute little efforts to "support" her or to "bond" with her are just show for the masses (and for the media).

Bush is a murderous thug. He has caused the deaths of thousands of young Americans that he sent to fight an illegal war of invasion and occupation.

He has caused the deaths of thousands of innocent Iraqis and Afghans.

He caused the deaths of thousands of people on 9/11.

Do you really think he is trying to be "nice" to someone like Nancy Pelosi -- who represents all he fears?

17. Yup, I do.
I think he is covering his bets

He gets impeached and Cheney goes with him, she has that pardon pen.

18. Pardon?
Are you seriously suggesting that Nancy Pelosi might actually pardon Bush and Cheney if they were to be impeached by the House and convicted in the Senate?

And are you further suggesting that Nancy's pardon could be bought for the price of an airplane?

Sorry, but I have a much higher regard for Nancy Pelosi's scruples and integrity.

I don't think she would ever pardon an impeached and convicted Bush and Cheney -- and certainly not for the price of an airplane.

an conviction on impeachment.

Article 2 - The Executive Branch

Thanks for that information.

It sort of blows merh's theory about Bush trying to "bond" with Nancy Pelosi, doesn't it?

22. well it didn't make much sense in the first place
the ONLY allowable punishment for impeachment/conviction is removal from office. So Pelosi would become president, pardon bush and what... he becomes President again?

7. They See A Strong Woman
It's so like the Rethuglicans.

They see a strong, forceful woman with power, and they set out to destroy her however they can.

I don't feel safe traveling coast-to-coast in a small airplane. Can you imagine how unsafe it is for Nancy Pelosi to do so?

She has to make that trip several times a year.

The people who are trying to put her into a smaller, less safe airplane are the same people sending our young people to die in a senseless war of aggession and occupation in Iraq.

Each character attack, such as the last, wears down her credibility. It is part of the Republican strategy.

14. Actually the Sgt at Arms is the fool here
Not adequately understanding aviation and then asking for a freaking airliner to transport her home on the weekends. Just DUMB politically and the Gulfstream will rarely if ever have to stop for fuel.

19. That's not what happened
There was a list of possible planes that could make the non-stop flight, not a request for a specific plane. Republicans created this controversy out of absolutely nothing, just like they always do.
