Progressive radio and the right wing mythology
So I was talking with my brother in law about KLSD and other Air America Stations in trouble

And there were several salient things that came out of it

1.- Elections are next year, and these stations were responsible for quite a bit of the mobilization in 2006.. they will also be behind getting out the message and mobilizing voters

2.- The reason that Scooter gave this morning smells. A station that is progressively growing does not all of a sudden loose 50% in ratings.

3.- The Right wing mythology states that the progressive message does not sell (and if it starts to sell it contradicts the mythology)

4.- They cannot tell us the honest to goodness truth. It is a business decision to deep six the format and go for another format. Yep, it is in the right wing's DNA to be unable to tell the truth.

Anyhow, I was thinking about it. I will go to the demo on Monday to try to save our station, but it is not our station... it is a clear channel station... and it seems to me, that they cannot allow progressive stations on the air as 2008 aproaches... PERIOD

So I am not too hopeful that this will work... oh well... I guess there is the Internet or satellite for this household... and sadly there are many, even hosts, that cannot yet see why we do need to break up the monopolies and bring back the fairness doctrine...

Oh and a small prediction, more and more stations will "fail" as the elections get close.

The answer is to get to the shareholders of clear channel and let them know that clear channel management has been fucking them out of money by mismanaging there holdings. The shareholders could give a fuck what is on the airwaves they just have to get the most amount of money possible for there investment. There is no way there doing it right now to many right wing talkers not enough left talkers. The 2004 election had nearly a 50% split of voters using that as your baseline to maximize the revenue you would balance the programing to connect to the maximum audience.

There some very evil shit going on with the commercial media since 12/12/2000.

The best way to get even with the neocons is let the stockholders know that they been getting ripped of by the management of these broadcasting companies.

One caveat unless the carlyle group owns over 50% of clear channel if so then were fucked.

4. Alan Berg...
Alan was murdered in his driveway by members of a neonazi group called 'the ordure' which mainly robbed armoured trucks back in early 80's...reaganauts sorta like tim mcveigh, but while mcveigh was moved to rage by foxnews and cnn and limbah humbug antigov lies etc the ordure suffered Alan Berg, who mocked them and their racist nonsense relentlessly- but too many ratwingers LIKED Alan, who preceeded limbah humbug and proves it a lie that progressives aint the mould in which talkradio was first formed (unless you wanna talk about father whatsisname back in dirty 30's, who saw his eager scheme ahem, detonate in his face ie nazism, the holocaust etc))... it's ridiculous today to hear the bs that only 'rat hate radio' works when history shows it's an aberation, like junyer having 2 arseholes; ann kkkoulter and rupert murdock..
'those who forget history are doomed to repeat it' Che Guevera once wisely said....
