Larry King - Wasting more of our media time with Michael Vicks
Edited on Mon Aug-27-07 08:14 PM by Robson
Larry King another disciple of the controlled MSM agenda deflects and diverts the public's attention from the real problems of America with his in-depth discussion tonight about Michael Vicks - dog killer.

Who cares about Michael Vicks? Put him on trial, ban him from our public airwaves and pro-sports forever, and get back to discussing what is really important to our country...exposing political fraud and abuse.

Our controlled MSM once again sees more $$$$ dumbing down America with ongoing discussions about Michael Vicks of the Atlanta Falcons instead of investigative reporting on our politicians. But pro-sports is all about diverting our attention.

1. Vick would of been treated better from the media if he was charged with rape than...
charged with killing a dog. this is how crazy this animals rights stuff has gotten.

2. Vicks is another overpaid loser
that is more representative of those who participate in pro-sports than not.

Instead of providing an upbeat positive example for youth, he provides another example of gangstahood. He thought because he was rich and a star that he was above it all and could get away with breaking the law and abusing animals.

Yes I agree he might have had a better chance of getting away with rape instead of abusing animals, and that says even more how pro-sports players are given immunity instead of facing reality.

He is a loser who should be banned forever from sports. Sports was always about developing character not making players wealthy.

4. Character
I disagree to a point. Sports are not now nor were they ever about building Character. In pre european Mexico, loose a ball game lose your heart. In the Roman arena, defeat meant a downward turned thumb from the Emperors box. In the Greek Olympic games, boxers often were killed in the course of fights. These hardly qualify as Character building experiences. IMO the strong empasis on sport in high school, is much more about finding a suitable outlet for raging hormones in the young atheletes bodies as it is about building their character. Sports are for amusement, fun, challenge, diversion, etc. but building character is not one of the reasons we compete. Just one persons opinion

7. They'll find a way
The NFL and owners will find a way to get Vick released early and reinstated to the league, as big money talks. Celebrities rarely pay the same price for their crimes.

Vick is a multi-million dollar a year guy, not some common folk who was caught stealing some bread or possessing several ounces of marijuana. Vick might face lots more embarrassing hoopla in the beginning but he'll be walking once it blows over, while a common folk Joe would languish in some cell.

Sports is a money maker, but those involved like to claim it builds character. It builds really fat wallets for lots of people including the over-paid players. Pro-sports and the media pushes K-12 sports to develop and maintain interest in their often huge taxpayer funded billion dollar operations. Based upon the antics of most of the pro-athletes it doesn't build much character at all.

3. Is there anything left to be said about Michael Vick?
It might get interesting again after he is released from prison. If he's got any character, it will show then.

5. He hasn't been put IN prison yet....
after he is released from prison

And that is what bothers me. Any silence on the publics part will only encourage the judge to let him walk. Why in the world does it take a judge from now until December 10 to put this cretin away ?

9. Good point
Larry King has made a career out of wasting the pubic's time and bandwidth discussing irrelevant celebrities...instead of doing what good journalists do...expose corruption and other indescretions by our political leaders.

Did Larry King ever have anything intelligent to say about our invasion of Iraq or our pending neocon invasion of Iran?

The last time Larry King had anything of relevance on his show was wwwweelllllllllll a very long time ago.

10. It's not "our" media.
They aren't wasting our time. "We" are wasting our time.

Turn it off.
