Wow! MSNBC declaring Paul Clement is LOVED BY DEMS AND REPUBS ALIKE
Edited on Tue Aug-28-07 10:11 AM by Atman
On MSNBC, it's Alternative Reality time. The douchebag on with Tim Russert (Pete Whatshisname) just said that Gone-zo's replacement, Clement, is "a member of the Federalist society" (described as little more than a conservative political group). He has a glowing pedigree, and is loved on both sides of the aisle, and is a great legal scholar.

Is this the same guy I was reading about yesterday? The media sales pitch has started hot and heavy. Love him! LOVE HIM!

====

WASHINGTON -- Two summers ago, Paul D. Clement stood before a federal appeals court in Richmond, Va., defending the Bush administration's much-maligned policy of indefinitely holding "enemy combatants" in this country as part of the government's war on terrorism.

The case involved American-born Jose Padilla. Clement, just one month into his new job as U.S. solicitor general, argued that people like Padilla were trying to bring jihad home to this country -- even if they were U.S. citizens and did not wear enemy uniforms.

Judge J. Michael Luttig stopped him. "Those accusations don't get you very far," the judge said, "unless you're prepared to boldly say the United States is a battlefield in the war on terror."

1. MSM spin has begun!
Though only reason to "reach across the aisle" at this point is to slap someone in the face!

2. Of COURSE they are!
MSNBC, like NBC, is owned by General Electric--makers of cruise missiles and jet engines for warplanes. They will ALWAYS toe the Regime's line.

Moreover: War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength and we have ALWAYS been at war with Eastasia.

Big Brother Loves You.

5. I think it's amazing we're not all psychotic by now.
Seven years of yelling at CNN and MSNBC should have put us all in rubber rooms by now. I'd really love to throw away my tinfoil hat. Will we ever be able to trust network news again?

7. "Man Of The Year" is making the rounds on HBO right now
I caught a small portion of it last night. Lewis Black, President-elect Robin Williams' advisor (or something), does a short rant about how the news has become all bullshit because they pretend to be "fair and balanced." About how they'll put one flat-earther (I don't recall the example Black used) on next to a scientist, and even though every scientist in the world will refute the layman flat-earther, suddenly the flat-earther is given a pedestal and made to look credible. To the point where NOTHING is credible. If everything is "fair and balanced," NOTHING is fair and balanced, because total bullshit is given the same weight as accepted proven science.

That's kinda what we're seeing.
