Do you know people who are almost protective of the President?
One woman I know says that people should leave the President alone because he's "doing the best he can and he's a good Christian."

Another woman I go to church with who is a flaming Liberal will criticize the President to her sister. Her sister will react by getting very teary and asking how my friend would like it if she attacked someone my friend cared about. It's as if she thinks she knows him, and he's her friend. She was utterly shocked to find out that my friend prays for the President. My friend's reasoning is that Bush is her president too, even if she disagrees with everything he does. I guess her sister thought my friend was just a "Bush hater".

1. Do you mean regardless of what party the President might belong to?

6. No, this president. I'm surprised people still think of him that way
in the first example the same woman thinks that Clinton was evil.

2. That's what they call, the bigotry of low expectations, isn't it?
He's doing the best he can, which isn't much, so leave him alone.

7. I don't need a president who's doing the best he can
like these things are graded on a curve.

I need a president to do his damn job.

This isn't kindergarten, where we get gold stars for at least trying.

10. Yeah, that's exactly what I think about it, too.
It's just funny Bush speaks out against the very thing he's benefited from.
