Coffee again
And my nicotine breaks the fast
No real food until hours pass.

Handful of pills,
Some sap my will
And send me back to sleep
Make me weak

I feel like rain
The sun is outside
Laughing at me
Must be in my brain.

So much to do
So little mind
Machine not working
Lethargy made sublime

Boredom made art
Dishes sit waiting
Dog wakes and yawns
Stays in bed, she's smart.

Slave to insomnia
and potions with fancy names.
Tired but mind racing
Cracking under strain.

Hermit am I
And I can't even stand myself
But I never lose an argument
Or a fight about my health.

Pandora's pill cabinet
Tobacco, coffee and thou
How I spend my life
Can I still change it somehow?
